Job Summary

Provide preventative care and diagnostic services in patients’ homes as a mobile phlebotomist. Use mobile technology to access schedules, complete charting, and coordinate care through HIPAA-secure messaging. Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection, and may assist with additional low-acuity services such as retina exams, diabetic foot screenings, and ECGs. Ensure samples are properly labeled and coordinate lab/shipment drop-offs while maintaining high-quality, patient-comfort-focused care.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure you have the proper supplies and PPE before caring for patients.
•Use modern technology to access your schedule and commute to each patient’s home.
•Build warm, welcoming connections with patients and collect relevant information before providing services.
•Provide patient-centric, diagnostic, low-acuity care including phlebotomy/specimen collection (and potentially services such as retina exams, diabetic foot screenings, and ECGs).
•Label collected samples properly and coordinate drop-off to the appropriate lab or shipment facility.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 25 - 29 hourly

Key Requirements

•Previous experience in venipuncture and the ability to provide high-quality health services with professionalism, integrity, accountability, confidentiality, care, and compassion.
•Technologically savvy; comfortable using mobile devices for charting and HIPAA secure messaging apps for care coordination.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
•Reliable transportation using your own vehicle and the physical ability to access and navigate patient homes (including climbing stairs and carrying up to 20 pounds).
•To begin working: state-required licensure and/or proof of training, Basic Life Support certification, proof of course/program completion, valid driver’s license, and current vehicle insurance.
