Job Summary

Work with New Product Development and New Product Introduction teams to ensure engineering drawing and specification requirements are communicated clearly to suppliers. Support design for manufacturability, investigate alternate manufacturing processes, and participate in supplier selection to build a high-performing supply base. Conduct technical audits and evaluate supplier performance, addressing quality problems with root-cause and corrective actions, and assess production readiness for transferred and new modules.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and communicate expectations to supporting suppliers.
•Coordinate with NPI teams to ensure suppliers are involved in the development and review of specifications for design for manufacturability.
•Investigate alternate manufacturing processes using project management skills and quality tools to improve cost, quality, and reliability.
•Support supplier selection, supplier technical audits, and supplier performance/capability evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
•Assist with quality problem resolution and incident management by driving root cause and correction action, and assess production readiness for transferred and new modules.

Travel: Medium travel

•Collaborate with New Product Introduction teams to involve suppliers in specification development and review to support design for manufacturability.

•Participate in the supplier selection process to develop a supply base with strong quality, value/cost, delivery, and technology.
•Have semiconductor contract manufacturing experience (cable and harnessing) and apply technical knowledge to evaluate requirements and recommend materials to Design Engineering.
