Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide 24-hour flight planning support to flight dispatchers.
  • •Use route planning technology to create daily optimized routes and build/maintain company database routes as procedures change.
  • •Create on-request routes to avoid enroute hazards and develop routes for nonstandard operations such as emergency diversions, maintenance, ferry, and charter flights.
  • •Review and edit NOTAMs and adjust company database content accordingly, including routes, airways, SIDs, STARs, ATC filing addresses, airports, and blocking data.
  • •Communicate with domestic and international ATC agencies about flight plan rejections or route compatibility issues, and monitor special use airspace activity.

Key Requirements

  • •3 years of recent experience in a flight operations environment for an air carrier, large corporate, or military entity or directly supporting an operational database.
  • •Associate's degree or higher in Science, Aviation, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • •Current licensed airman with an FAA Flight Dispatcher, Pilot, Navigator, or Air Traffic Control license (or military equivalent).
  • •Knowledge of flight planning or advanced navigation techniques, including familiarity with EUROCONTROL IFPS, CFMU, and RAD.
  • •Experience with database technologies and ICAO NOTAM/government aeronautical publications, with strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
