Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement and continually improve corrosion management programs and on-stream monitoring for the Tanajib Gas Plant Department.
  • •Conduct risk-based inspection using API-580 and review/approve recommended solutions for coating failures and cathodic protection.
  • •Validate corrosion controls, corrosion loops, and corrosion damage mechanisms; assess feed composition changes to ensure asset integrity.
  • •Develop and transfer knowledge on coatings, cathodic protection, corrosion inhibitors, and other corrosion controls and best practices.
  • •Lead updates to Corrosion Control Documents (CCDs) and perform evergreening RBI studies, including tracking RBI recommendations and coordinating implementations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Corrosion Science from an approved program.
  • •10 years of experience in gas processing in the Oil/Gas industry, including materials science, metrology, NDT technologies, welding knowledge, and engineering aspects.
  • •Working experience running asset integrity programs in a petroleum or petrochemical operating facility.
  • •Strong knowledge of international codes/standards, especially NACE, ASME, API, and ASTM, including API-571, API-579, API-580, API-570, and API-510.
  • •Valid NACE certification (e.g., NACE Specialist Certification or NACE Senior Corrosion Technologist) and/or a combination including NACE Corrosion Technologist and NACE CP level II.
