Key Responsibilities

  • •Help the driver load chicks at the hatchery and monitor truck temperature and airflow.
  • •Assist with offloading chicks into houses on assigned farms to ensure chick quality.
  • •Load/unload operations including positioning trucks for unloading on farms.
  • •Return empty carriers to the hatchery and wash/disinfect trucks and chick carries after delivery.
  • •Perform other hatchery-related and odd jobs while waiting for loads; may require up to 10+ hour days depending on season.
