Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the Technical Accounting Centre of Expertise by helping manage request intake, prioritisation, documentation standards, and status reporting.
  • •Provide IFRS technical accounting input on complex, judgemental, or material matters across the group.
  • •Prepare accounting position papers, technical memoranda, and supporting analysis for review by the COE Lead or other stakeholders.
  • •Conduct technical accounting research and develop evidence-based IFRS recommendations aligned with group policies and reporting requirements.
  • •Assist audit readiness by preparing technical accounting responses and supporting audit evidence and documentation for external auditors.

Key Requirements

  • •Chartered Accountant (South Africa), CA(SA) designation required.
  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • •Advanced IFRS technical accounting expertise, including interpreting standards and applying judgement to complex fact patterns.
  • •Advanced experience preparing technical accounting papers, accounting policy positions, and audit support documentation.
  • •Experience applying IFRS to complex transactions across a large group/multinational environment, including supporting defence of conclusions with external auditors and senior finance stakeholders.
