Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate machine to extrude thermoplastic materials and manufacture blown (packaging) film to specifications.
  • •Review production orders and stage proper resins, colorants, and materials for the extruder using lift truck and/or hoses.
  • •Monitor extruded product for defects and adjust controls (vacuum, air pressure, temperature, sizing rings) and speed/weight settings.
  • •Measure and test physical properties (using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dimension testers) and complete visual inspections.
  • •Reel finished product into rolls, complete packaging/labeling, relocate pallets, and enter production paperwork into the system.
