Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct routine quality inspections and audits across incoming, in-process, and finished goods, assessing adherence to First Solar specifications and standards.
  • •Provide guidance and training on quality specifications and standards to Production and Engineering as the Quality Representative.
  • •Collect, analyze, and report inspection/audit data; disseminate reports to support timely decisions by Engineering, Production, and Quality.
  • •Monitor and audit manufacturing processes and equipment against core documentation (PFD, PFMEA, CP, WI) and report discrepancies.
  • •Execute quality management system record keeping per First Solar policy and ISO standards, and support corrective/preventive actions and continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements

  • •High School or GED required.
  • •2 years postsecondary studies, an associate degree, or Professional Certification required (Technical Field preferred) or 7 years related Quality experience.
  • •5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • •Experience within ISO 9001 (or equivalent) Quality System desired.
  • •Use precision tools (micrometers, gage blocks, calipers, microscopes) and strong data analysis skills; Word and Excel required.
