Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver personal financial counseling services (one-on-one counseling, consultations, briefings/presentations, and referral resources) to service members and their families at assigned installations.
  • •Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and make available informational financial materials for service members and families.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and provide Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle and respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
  • •Manage duty-to-warn situations per DoD protocol and participate in supervision, training, and quality improvement/contract activities as assigned.

Salary: USD 58,440 - 93,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider an associate degree plus 4 years of experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
  • •Must have one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
