Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead complex engineering projects end-to-end, including scoping, engineering package/documentation, and project closeout/postmortem analysis.
  • •Ensure safety-first execution by aligning project work to Amcor safety policies and acting as a safety leader to others.
  • •Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and controls efforts—develop testing/validation processes and perform engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • •Manage project costs, scheduling, and communications across stakeholders; coordinate vendors and purchasing activities including review, purchase orders, negotiation, and expediting.
  • •Support industrial automation/IoT initiatives by developing integration concepts, validating instrumentation and automation systems, and improving processes using lean/JIT and simulation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Electrical, Mechanical, CS&E, Controls/Automation Engineering or related technical field.
  • •6+ years of experience in engineering projects, including Amcor or similar flexible packaging engineering experience.
  • •Ability to align project work with safety policies and manage safety concerns while developing solutions and defining scope.
  • •Experience creating/using engineering calculations and technical drawings/specifications for mechanical/electrical/controls work.
  • •Willingness to travel up to 30% for mid to large scale installations, start-up, checkout, and training.
