Key Responsibilities

  • •Form successful relationships with clients throughout Portugal in collaboration with Account Executives.
  • •Operate as an expert in big data analytics and develop into a trusted advisor for architecture, design, and implementation.
  • •Create reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications to support customer adoption.
  • •Support scaling best practices and drive workshops, seminars, and meet-ups to build the Databricks community in the region.
  • •Engage customers in technical sales by answering questions and communicating technical and value propositions.
Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

  • •Be based in the Madrid region (within commutable distance for a hybrid schedule).
  • •Native proficiency in Portuguese and business fluency in English; Spanish fluency is a plus.
  • •Prior experience coding in a core language such as Python, Java, or Scala, and willingness to learn Spark.
  • •Hands-on expertise with Big Data Analytics technologies, including complex proofs-of-concept and one or more public cloud platforms.
  • •Experience with use case discovery, scoping, and delivering complex solution architecture designs to multiple audiences.
