Lead enterprise architecture for NiSource’s customer and corporate technology landscape, partnering with Application Development, Infrastructure, Security, Data & Analytics, and PMO teams. Translate business needs into transformation roadmaps, define target architecture and standards, and guide architecture reviews and governing processes. Provide senior expertise through complex solution blueprints, option/reuse points, and trusted guidance for product and engineering teams. Research industry trends and deliver technology solutions aligned to enterprise strategy.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide senior-level direction, guidance, and priorities for enterprise architecture to support business strategy.
•Translate business requirements into architecture blueprints and high-level solution designs for complex program components.
•Define strategy across business areas by assessing technology investment implications for technology, business, and operations.
•Review, advise, and design standard software and hardware builds, evaluating options, risks, costs/benefits, and business impact.
•Establish and govern architecture standards and processes, including Architecture Review Boards, solution architecture reviews, and exception management.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 133,400 - 200,100 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
•7+ years of enterprise-wide architecture experience across customer channels and corporate systems technologies.
•Experience envisioning architecture aligned to customer/corporate application capabilities (e.g., Agile development, AI/ML, API management, DevSecOps, integration, sales, security).
•Experience directing and mentoring other architects across the team and organization.
•Experience with on-premise solutions and cloud platforms on Azure and AWS.
