Job Summary

Work outdoors on highway, utility, and grade projects and at on-site plant locations, assisting crews with paving and site preparation tasks. Operate equipment safely, set up work zones with barriers and cones, prepare manhole covers and water lines, and help level and shovel asphalt. Perform deliveries, cleanup, traffic control assistance, minor maintenance, and maintain time/material records while traveling between locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate equipment safely and efficiently within designed parameters.
•Operate equipment and assist with paving tasks including compacting, raking/leveling dirt, and walking behind a paver to shovel/rake asphalt.
•Set up fencing, barricades, and/or safety cones to block off the work area as needed.
•Prepare manhole covers, openings, and water lines (including inserting risers as needed).
•Pick up/deliver construction materials, perform job site clean-up, assist with flagging and traffic control, and keep tools/equipment maintained while maintaining time and material records.
