Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop HV/EHV initial functional requirements into compliant, cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • •Project manage HV/EHV project development and delivery (cable, overhead, plant and civil) to time, cost, safety and quality.
  • •Interface with customers and internal/external resources to develop and deliver HV/EHV projects.
  • •Act as CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for developed HV/EHV projects.
  • •Coordinate external service providers and administer commercial activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering.
  • •Experience managing large and complex HV and EHV substation projects across the full lifecycle from feasibility to energisation.
  • •Strong understanding of electrical transmission and distribution systems and plant items including AIS/GIS switchgear, Protection & Control, power transformers, underground cables, and overhead lines.
  • •Knowledge of optioneering for substation configurations, including voltage levels and installed/firm capacities, aligned to functional requirements.
  • •Excellent understanding of H&S and CDM requirements, with ability to act as Designer/Principal Designer under CDM regulations.
