Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide hands-on support for production equipment and supporting facilities, including daily troubleshooting and mechanical design work.
  • •Initiate and implement improvement projects to address safety, quality, repetitive failures, and major/minor equipment issues.
  • •Develop preventative/predictive programs and create scopes of work for ad-hoc repairs and major overhauls.
  • •Ensure compliance of project work with relevant engineering standards and Alcoa EHS requirements.
  • •Create and maintain equipment documentation, and support capital/expense projects by highlighting risks to progress.

Key Requirements

  • •Tertiary qualification in Engineering with previous experience in maintenance, reliability, heavy industry, or plant engineering.
  • •Understanding of reliability principles, risk management, and continuous improvement.
  • •Experience improving equipment management strategies focused on preventative maintenance and spares systems.
  • •Proven experience completing projects, investigating issues, and implementing root-cause solutions.
  • •Ability to communicate across the organization and manage a high workload.
