Job Summary

Operate heavy equipment for groundwork and construction tasks, switching between assignments as site demands require. Follow OSHA/MSHA and company safety procedures, complete daily equipment and site safety checks, and maintain required documentation. Report problems to the appropriate leadership, assist with related manual tasks (e.g., shoveling/raking), perform minor equipment servicing, and support and train less experienced employees as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights safely and efficiently.
•Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and the environment.
•Perform daily safety checks and daily pre- and post-inspections with required documentation.
•Handle minor servicing and maintenance; refer major equipment problems to supervision.
•Assist with assigned jobsite duties (e.g., shoveling/raking/wheelbarrow), and support training of less experienced employees.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•1-2 years related experience and/or training (or equivalent education and experience).
•Must be 18 years or older and pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
•Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and strictly follow safety requirements and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
•Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, read/write basic materials, and follow verbal and written instructions.
