Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead enterprise Databricks lakehouse architecture using Medallion Architecture and establish reusable, secure, governed platform patterns.
  • •Define target-state Databricks architecture across ingestion, transformation, storage, orchestration, analytics, streaming, data sharing, and consumption layers.
  • •Design and govern Delta Lake/Delta-based architectures including data layout, performance optimization, schema evolution, data lifecycle, and workload management standards.
  • •Own Databricks data-governance architecture with strong focus on Unity Catalog (cataloging, access control, discovery, lineage, ownership, and governed data sharing).
  • •Architect governed data exposure (APIs, Delta Sharing, semantic layers, BI/ML/AI consumption), define data quality/observability controls, and support production triage while mentoring teams.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years’ experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data-platform delivery with architecture leadership for large-scale ecosystems.
  • •5+ years hands-on Databricks experience delivering production-scale lakehouse implementations and optimizations.
  • •5+ years deep expertise in Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold), Delta Lake, distributed processing, Spark/PySpark, SQL, and batch/streaming architecture.
  • •5+ years experience with Databricks Unity Catalog and enterprise data-governance capabilities (cataloging, metadata, lineage, classification, ownership, access governance, audit).
  • •5+ years of data-governance experience across quality, metadata, lineage, stewardship, policy enforcement, privacy, security, and compliance controls.
