Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the app scrum teams in Dubai and foster a supportive and productive environment that leads to success. Oversee the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) of key staff within these teams.
  • •Work with the Software Engineering Managers in each of the App scrum teams to ensure there is consistency in our approach and robust support for all the teams to enable them to deliver the commitments they have made.
  • •Set a clear vision for the teams and crafting a strategic growth plan for the overall team to ensure comprehensive development and success across the organization.
  • •Partner your Senior Engineering Manager peers to ensure effective collaboration within the teams and make decisions that prioritize the team’s best interests.
  • •Work with the SVP and Head of App to agree and deliver the broader App objectives and goals across the global app organisation.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 10 years of experience in Software/App development with 4 years of people management experience.
  • •Strong mobile engineering background with the ability to guide developers across iOS and Android platforms.
  • •If iOS-focused: Deep proficiency in Swift, MVVM, RxSwift, SwiftUI, Combine.
  • •If Android-focused: Strong expertise in Kotlin, with hands-on experience in Volley, RxJava, and Dagger.
  • •Proven track record leading teams that build and ship large-scale mobile applications serving millions of users.
