Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement and improve FIPS 140-3 validated encryption, including algorithm/module boundaries, entropy sources, key derivation, and validation evidence to keep certification current.
  • •Own the platform trust chain with secure/measured boot (U-Boot/UEFI), TPM-backed attestation, firmware signing, and rollback protection on embedded/edge hardware.
  • •Design and implement full-disk and data-at-rest encryption, key management/rotation, and key hierarchies that withstand field conditions.
  • •Build anti-tamper and zeroization capabilities (tamper detection/response, emergency erase, key destruction paths) and prove them under adversarial testing.
  • •Engineer secure communications and validation tooling, including protocol review, mTLS/workload identity, tunnels/gateways, and audit/validation harnesses with fuzzers and adversarial tests.

Key Requirements

  • •Write production code in C/C++, Rust, Golang, or Python (C or Rust strongly preferred) and modify these as needed for firmware and cryptographic work.
  • •5-8 years of engineering experience with deep technical ownership of security-critical systems (not primarily policy writing or scan coordination).
  • •Apply cryptography in practice: implement/integrate cryptographic libraries, handle keys/entropy correctly, and explain device identity at boot and trust revocation.
  • •Deep low-level systems knowledge across Linux kernel/userspace and debugging tools (e.g., gdb, ftrace, logic analyzer).
  • •Experience securing firmware/embedded or cyber-physical systems and secure network protocols (TLS/PKI internals, tunneling, and issues in disconnected/degraded networks).
