Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the slitting machine operation by preparing material for shipment.
  • •Cut cores to correct length and prepare winder shafts with cores as needed.
  • •Splice rolls together, position material to be slit at the unwind, and carry finished rolls to rebuild/prepare for the slitter.
  • •Move rolls with defects to the slitting area, stack rolls neatly, and wrap/weigh as necessary for palletization.
  • •Assist slitter operator with routine duties, perform preventative maintenance inspections, train other slitter assistants, and complete other assigned shift tasks.
