Key Responsibilities

  • •Own outcomes from ingestion through payment, including adjudication accuracy, payment timeliness, ledger reconciliation, ingestion SLAs, and roadmap delivery.
  • •Set validation standards and “definition of done,” establish a performance culture on evidence, and drive automation of manual toil.
  • •Stay close to the work by conducting design reviews, reading code, and investigating incidents; form defensible technical positions on adjudication logic, event contracts, data modeling, and money movement.
  • •Make agent-first, AI-native engineering the default by building harnesses/validation frameworks and enabling safer faster shipping.
  • •Build and grow the team by hiring, leveling, and developing Engineering Managers and senior ICs; define org structure and decision rights and partner across business functions.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years building and operating high-scale, high-reliability backend systems, ideally processing large data volumes and/or moving money.
  • •5+ years leading engineering teams, including managing managers, in a high-accountability environment.
  • •Technical credibility at scale, able to reason through designs/incidents and define validation criteria to prevent failure.
  • •Experience building and operating agent-first / AI-native engineering models safely from assisted toward autonomous.
  • •Experience with sensitive regulated data (PHI/PII/financial), encryption, access/audit, and reconciliation-first design.
