Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct risk assessments and gather stakeholder input for the annual risk-based audit plan.
  • •Plan and scope vendor and contract compliance audits, including objectives, timelines, and resource needs.
  • •Perform audits in-house and oversee third-party audit firms to ensure audit quality and consistency.
  • •Prepare audit workpapers with supported conclusions and communicate results to leadership via written reports and oral presentations.
  • •Lead discussions and negotiations with vendors to resolve discrepancies, recover overbilled amounts, and track/report open exceptions and recoveries.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • •7+ years of progressive audit experience, including contract compliance, vendor, or joint venture audits.
  • •Strong knowledge of oil and gas operations, including drilling, completions, production, and field services.
  • •Working knowledge of common oil and gas contract structures (MSAs, service agreements, rate schedules) and cost provisions.
  • •Proficiency with data analysis tools to extract and analyze transactional data, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.
