Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop professionally and technically competent geotechnical reports using efficient working practices to deliver best-value services.
  • •Support project delivery end-to-end, including financial analysis, client liaison, statutory/public consultation, quality control, and management of specialists, contractors, and sub-consultants.
  • •Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams on geotechnical projects and provide professional advice that strengthens relationships and raises the geotechnical division’s profile.
  • •Effectively manage project work with robust project financial management, including budget responsibility for delivery of projects and services.
  • •Ensure technical and SHEQ compliance by working under accepted methods and legislation (including CDM), taking ownership of SHEQ management aspects, and conducting technical peer reviews of calculations and design deliverables.

Key Requirements

  • •12+ years’ experience designing foundations, slope stability, embedded retaining walls, settlement analysis, and damage assessment for infrastructure projects, especially metro.
  • •Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and substantial project management experience for medium-sized projects.
  • •Excellent report-writing and client liaison skills; able to lead at client/contractor meetings.
  • •Experience undertaking and managing geotechnical desk studies and designing, procuring, and supervising ground investigations and related reports.
  • •Proficiency with geotechnical software for analysis and presentation of ground investigation and geotechnical data, including reviewing and amending work.
