Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide legal counsel and guidance on NPI intellectual property matters to business units and senior management.
  • •Manage IP protection and enforcement across patents, trade secrets, and copyrights, and implement IP strategies for new and existing product offerings.
  • •Conduct freedom to market and product clearance reviews.
  • •Perform IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other IP business transactions.
  • •Advise contracts team on IP terms for IP-related agreements and provide IP training to mitigate risks, including overseeing external IP counsel.

Key Requirements

  • •7 years of legal experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house experience.
  • •Strong foundational knowledge in chemistry or related subject matters such as chemical engineering, biochemistry, or material science.
  • •Registered to practice as a lawyer in a major legal jurisdiction.
  • •Registered to practice before a regional patent office in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • •Extensive intellectual property experience in domestic and international portfolio development, including proactive IP risk mitigation.
