Build and scale AI-augmented developer tools that help Asana engineers work faster and with more confidence. Key Responsibilities

•Design and build AI-augmented workflows and systems that help coding agents understand the codebase and engineering practices.
•Design and scale autonomous cloud agents to take on complex, multi-step engineering tasks and reduce toil.
•Build and refine IDE, editor, and CLI integrations for intuitive AI-assisted development.
•Create reusable agent skills, tools, context, and integrations that teams across Asana can build on.
•Improve AI-assisted code review workflows and drive adoption through usability improvements, measurement, documentation, and enablement.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 171,000 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

•3+ years working in large codebases.
•Experience building developer tools, internal platforms, infrastructure, IDE/editor integrations, CLIs, or workflow automation.
•Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex) and/or extending coding agents, MCP-based integrations, AI-powered code review systems, or agent skill/tool ecosystems.
•Experience building evaluation and quality frameworks for AI-generated outputs.
•Strong technical judgment and systems design skills, with the ability to make pragmatic tradeoffs in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
