Job Summary

Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market. Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments using air conditioning theory, pipe fitting knowledge, and mechanical layouts. Coordinate installation and repair work with team and customers, diagnose issues using software/technology and hand tools, and maintain safety and accountability of company assets, including occasional overnight stays.

•Coordinate with the team leader/project manager and customer to understand requirements for on-site installations and repairs, including forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing work.
•Serve as direct customer contact and ensure satisfaction by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment and HVAC systems at the customer’s location.
•Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in a commercial environment.
•Use cutting-edge software/technology and hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
•Maintain safety to the highest standards and stay flexible for overtime/weekends and occasional overnight stays as required.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent required, with typically 5+ years of HVAC experience; technical school or formal training is preferred.
•Proficient in air conditioning/HVAC troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning in a commercial environment.
•Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and working proficiency with hand-held computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
•Must have a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major/frequent traffic violations (e.g., DUI, hit & run).
•EPA Certification required.
