Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide holistic care to surgical patients pre- and post-surgery on the Surgical Orthopaedic Ward in a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
  • •Welcome and receive patients, visitors, and colleagues to the unit.
  • •Accompany patients (including friends and relatives) between departments.
  • •Assist patients with eating, drinking, patient hygiene, and elimination procedures.
  • •Assist with observation and specimen collection, participate in clinical audit, and support cultural needs.
