  • •Build and own foundational Android infrastructure, including modularization, dependency injection, navigation, deep linking, and app lifecycle systems.
  • •Design and deliver shared Android libraries/frameworks with developer and AI ergonomics as a first-class concern.
  • •Drive Cash App Android architecture forward with high-leverage, cross-org decisions that compound over time.
  • •Advance AI-native engineering in the Android org by identifying leverage, evaluating emerging AI development tools, and embedding AI-powered capabilities into the platform.
  • •Lead architecture and design reviews across teams and mentor engineers at all levels to raise the Android technical ceiling.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of Android development experience with a demonstrated track record of impact at organizational scope.
  • •Platform or infrastructure builder mindset with strong systems thinking and a focus on developer experience.
  • •Deep Android expertise, including Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, modern architecture patterns, build systems, performance profiling, and testing at scale.
  • •AI-native development practice: actively use AI-assisted development tools and maintain a strong point of view on where AI creates leverage and where it falls short.
