Job Summary

Develop fast virtual platform models that simulate the software-visible behavior of next-generation CPUs, MI-series data-center GPUs, chiplet interconnect, and high-speed I/O. This AI-native role uses frontier AI coding and agentic workflows to accelerate C++ model design, verification, debugging, and optimization. Collaborate with architecture teams and support internal and external customers by enabling pre-silicon firmware, OS, driver, and application development months before silicon availability.

Key Responsibilities

•Architect and develop high-performance C++ functional models of SoCs, IP blocks, and platforms.
•Use AI coding tools and agentic workflows to accelerate model implementation, verification, debugging, and optimization.
•Work with architecture teams to understand specifications and accurately model new hardware designs.
•Improve functionality, stability, scalability, and performance of existing models.
•Develop tests and verification methodologies and collaborate with customers to debug workloads on virtual platforms.

Key Requirements

•Strong experience developing high-performance systems and application software in C/C++ for Linux and/or Windows environments.
•Deep understanding of hardware/software interfaces, including registers, memory maps, interrupts, and software-visible hardware behavior.
•Multi-threaded programming and synchronization primitives (e.g., mutexes, atomics, condition variables, lock-free data structures), including common concurrency pitfalls.
•Experience with functional modeling, architecture simulation, virtual platforms, or hypervisor development.
•Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
