Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment as needed to assure continuous operations with supervision.
  • •Perform routine maintenance including tires and support equipment, and assist with layout and installation of new and rebuilt parts.
  • •Assemble or reassemble complex equipment that requires maintenance knowledge, with supervision.
  • •Keep work areas and shop areas clean, wear proper PPE, and follow safety practices and procedures.
  • •Shuttle tractor/trailers to other locations and perform other assigned duties (including weekend/holiday work if needed).

Key Requirements

  • •6 months of Diesel Mechanic experience (or be a graduate of a Diesel Mechanic Training Program), documented on the application or resume.
  • •Meet all DOT and Tyson Fleet Safety Driver Qualifications to be approved to drive Tyson fleet vehicles.
  • •Basic tools and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • •Ability to understand written and verbal instructions, shop manuals, and other written documents; basic computer skills for data input.
  • •Power hand tools and equipment experience, including test equipment, forklift, hydraulic press, hydraulic hose crimper, drill press, and torque wrenches up to 600 ft/lbs.
