Job Summary

Senior Instructional Designer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality online technical product training. You’ll translate complex hardware/software concepts into engaging, interactive learning experiences, create multimedia assets with tools like Storyline, Rise, and Camtasia, and collaborate with SMEs, product teams, and engineers across global time zones to keep training aligned with product roadmaps and accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze performance needs and design effective learning solutions by conducting needs analysis, defining learning objectives, creating instructional strategies, developing assessments, and collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure training drives measurable performance outcomes.
•Design interactive, visually compelling online training that explains technical concepts, product features, and role-based workflows.
•Develop multimedia assets—including demo videos, animations, simulations, and graphics—using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Camtasia.
•Translate complex hardware and software behaviors into intuitive, task-based learning materials.
•Build foundational knowledge of Motorola Solutions’ products, workflows, and solution ecosystem to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Key Requirements

•Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field.
•5+ years of professional experience in Instructional Design or Learning Experience Design, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of online learning solutions.
•Demonstrated experience designing and developing eLearning using Articulate Storyline.
•Experience designing and developing training for software, hardware, SaaS, enterprise technology, or other technical product environments.
•Strong collaboration with SMEs, product managers, engineers, and technical teams to gather information, validate content, and ensure training alignment.
