Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead implementation of major plant modifications to enhance safety, improve operational efficiency, and address equipment reliability issues across a multi-billion-dollar scope.
  • •Apply nuclear plant program, process, and procedure knowledge to guide highly complex engineering and construction execution.
  • •Direct complex technical problem-solving by managing a multi-discipline team and making clear decisions in high-stress situations.
  • •Advise, negotiate, and resolve conflicts with internal and external stakeholders, interfacing with major EPC contractors, OEMs, and regulators.
  • •Inspire and motivate managers and project managers to achieve excellence in safety, quality, cost, and schedule while representing Vistra in industry forums.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years in the nuclear power industry with increasing responsibility across project management, engineering, licensing, procurement, contract management, and nuclear operations.
  • •Minimum 7–10 years leading large-scale capital projects (>$1B), including Extended Power Uprates or new nuclear construction.
  • •Deep understanding of NRC regulations, INPO standards, and nuclear licensing processes, plus current knowledge of the U.S. electricity industry and energy markets.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical preferred); advanced degree desirable.
  • •Recognized project management capability with PMP or equivalent strongly preferred, plus executive-level stakeholder engagement and regulatory interface experience.
