Job Summary

Ensure cement products meet quality specifications by running chemical and physical lab tests on raw materials and fuels. Monitor and adjust process/quality parameters, perform sampling and analyses, and evaluate hazards in the lab or plant. Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, and quality reports while promoting plant safety guidelines and communicating effectively with production and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Promote and follow plant safety guidelines while working safely in the lab and plant environment.
•Conduct chemical and/or physical tests and sampling to verify products meet specifications (e.g., ASTM, AASHTO).
•Perform regularly scheduled sampling and analyses and monitor or change process/quality parameters.
•Notify the Site Manager of out-of-specification samples or problems and maintain communication with production and quality departments.
•Operate, cross-check, and perform minor repairs to laboratory equipment; maintain inventory, logs, and quality analysis reports.

Key Requirements

•High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
•Minimum 1 year of experience performing relevant tests in a cement laboratory environment is preferred.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
•Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, and signs.
•Knowledge of chemical testing (wet chemical analysis) and physical testing procedures.
