Job Summary

Maintain and repair production equipment, tools, and machinery by performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions. Install, adjust, and repair production and special purpose machines, operate hand and power tools, and handle welding/torch work and light machining. Execute general repairs and upkeep for plant structures, including installing electrical components, dismantling equipment for defective parts, and ensuring safe, timely operation while keeping the work area orderly.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform overall preventative maintenance and repairs for equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
•Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines.
•Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, change parts, and complete assigned tasks.
•Weld/torch and perform light machining as required; conduct troubleshooting to determine and complete repairs.
•Install and test equipment or electrical components, dismantle equipment to remove defective parts, and lubricate/clean parts and equipment.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma (or equivalent) and comparable training, education, or experience.
•Technical or vocational school certification (or equivalent) in training or experience.
•Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals; follow step-by-step directions.
•Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, belting, mechanics, electricity, carpentry, or related fields (preferred).
•Full understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance programs; can work with a team or independently.
