Support patent-related matters by reviewing invention disclosures, counseling inventors, and performing patentability evaluations. Prepare patent application drafts, structure claims and variations, and handle prosecution activities across jurisdictions, including responses to ISR/WO and office actions. Conduct patent and non-patent landscape and competitive research to inform right-to-market strategy, while collaborating closely with the in-house IP and R&D teams to meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Review invention disclosures, counsel inventors, conduct patentability evaluations, scope inventive subject matter, and prepare claims and full patent applications aligned with business strategy.
•Handle patent prosecution activities, including preparing responses to ISR/WO and office actions across jurisdictions and reviewing prior art for contextual comparisons.
•Use knowledge of US patent prosecution (desirable) to support prosecution strategy and execution.
•Analyze competitive patent and non-patent literature to provide field insights, including right-to-market and landscape research.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering/Technology discipline, or PhD/Master’s in related Science from a reputed institute/university.
•At least 8 years of substantive experience handling patent prosecution, patent application preparation, and patent analytics.
•Strong experience counseling inventors on invention identification, scoping, claim structuring, and patent application preparation.
•Solid understanding of substantive and procedural patent laws and prosecution processes across major jurisdictions.
•Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; working knowledge of Chinese is desirable.
