Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical and electrical systems (including brakes, cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, HVAC, steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials).
  • •Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions; use appropriate tools, instruments, and equipment.
  • •Maintain service vehicle safety checks, pre-/post-trip inspections, and independently manage parts inventory and equipment with periodic reconciliation.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders (including documenting work with photos) and communicate with management for approvals, purchase order numbers, and RO findings.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as degree/certification beyond HS or 5 years’ related experience).
  • •Supply a set of hand tools required to perform the job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  • •Able to pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical, and maintain a current valid DOT medical card (or DOT physical if required).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license, with ability to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
