Job Summary

Engage with business users and the CIB Chief Data Office to understand, clarify, and prioritize data-driven requirements, then translate them into solution approaches, functional requirements, and high-level design. Lead technical and logical design of key components, communicate solutions to development teams, support production handoffs, and promote architecture best practices. Participate in PoCs, design reviews, and walkthroughs, manage technical risks and dependencies, and provide technical leadership throughout agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•Engage with the CIB Chief Data Office, business users, and subject matter experts to understand, clarify, and prioritize business requirements.
•Translate business requirements into deliverable solution approaches, functional requirements, and high-level design documentation.
•Contribute to the technical and logical design of key components, producing design artefacts and interface specifications.
•Communicate functional solutions to the development team and provide ongoing support, collaborating with production support to ensure deliverability and supportability.
•Provide technical leadership across the project lifecycle, including PoCs, technical validation, design reviews, managing risks/dependencies, and driving issues to closure.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Solution Architect within a large organisation.
•Strong logical thinking to abstract architectural patterns from technical solutions.
•Ability to articulate, present, and drive approval of solutions to both IT and business audiences.
•Experience with streaming technologies including Kafka, Flink, and Pub/Sub.
•Knowledge of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and data warehousing/ETL or data integration.
