Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families at assigned installations.
  • •Deliver one-on-one counseling, consultations, briefings/presentations, and referrals as appropriate.
  • •Assist service members in creating spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials, and coordinate a variety of personal financial management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
  • •Coordinate with installation and military branch POCs, participate in supervision and training/quality improvement activities, and manage duty to warn per DoD protocol.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree required; associate degree plus 4 years or high school plus 6 years may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
  • •Hold one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
