Job Summary

IT/Network infrastructure design engineer responsible for fiber and copper network cabling, voice, video, RF systems, ground stations, telemetry, and real-time communications supporting SpaceX production facilities and missions. Lead installation oversight, design changes, and coordination across maintenance, construction, and production teams to ensure world-class connectivity for Falcon, Dragon, Starship and related systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide engineering support for the design, operation, improvement, and troubleshooting of all fiberoptic and copper network infrastructure for multiple IP-based systems
•Coordinate downtime activities between maintenance, construction, and production teams to minimize disruptions
•Drive telecommunication projects using design change requests, power monitoring data, and advanced detection methods
•Troubleshoot electrical system problems, conduct breaker coordination, arc flash studies, and track electrical load and capacity
•Coordinate material procurement for large scale projects

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 110,000 - 140,000 annually

Key Requirements

•BICSI RCDD certification or bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
•2+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering and medium/high voltage power systems
•5+ years of professional experience with design/build of commercial/industrial telecom systems (LAN/WAN/WIFI/LTE; ISP/OSP cabling)
•AutoCAD/Revit – beginner to intermediate
•Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and International Building Code; ability to design to ANSI/TIA/BICSI standards
