Key Responsibilities

  • •Work on AI use case ideation, development, and adoption for Finance transformation challenges in collaboration with researchers and business stakeholders.
  • •Apply machine learning and quantitative research methods to Finance AI use cases within SAP’s AI innovation programs in GFA.
  • •Prototype AI models and agents for Finance processes, including risk quantification and shareholder behavior analysis, and validate AI capabilities.
  • •Translate empirical research findings into concrete, scalable Finance innovation strategies and support go-live readiness with GFA operations and technology teams.
  • •Participate in interdisciplinary research, mentoring, and stakeholder workshops to bridge academic findings and industry requirements and shape SAP’s AI in Finance roadmap.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in finance, management, information systems, technology management, quantitative economics, or a related field with AI applications focus.
  • •2+ years of industry-relevant research experience, with additional experience in consulting at the intersection of Finance and ML preferred.
  • •Applied Finance research track record (publications and conference presentations preferred) across industry/academia, including investment management and M&A exposure.
  • •Proven experience building and deploying ML models in Finance, including risk monitoring and strong understanding of AI adoption concepts.
  • •Strong Python skills for financial data analysis with experience using large datasets and ML libraries/tools (e.g., PyTorch, scikit-learn, NumPy, pandas).
