Job Summary

Lead electrical engineering design for mining infrastructure materials handling projects, delivering concept, basic, and detailed work across layouts, equipment sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit, earthing, lighting, and design basis reporting. Develop HV/MV/LV distribution designs for hazardous and non-hazardous areas, support tender and BOQ/cost estimation, review vendor drawings, and assist with factory acceptance testing. Provide technical guidance, ensure QC and health & safety compliance, and support client-focused delivery from the Mumbai location.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform conceptual, basic, and detailed electrical design, including equipment and cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit, earthing, and lighting calculations.
•Design EHV/HV, MV, and LV distribution systems, including electrical systems for hazardous and non-hazardous areas, switchyards, and substations.
•Develop scope of work and execution plans, including design basis reports, technical specifications, and bid analysis; prepare BOQ and cost estimates.
•Review electrical deliverables (e.g., one-line/three-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, schedules) and assist with vendor drawing/document review and factory acceptance testing.
•Provide technical guidance and progress reporting to the lead engineer/project manager, while ensuring QC, health & safety, and sustainability practices are followed.

Key Requirements

•13-16 years of experience in electrical engineering.
•Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; master’s degree preferred.
•Experience in basic and detail electrical design including layouts, equipment/cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit, earthing, and lighting calculations.
•Knowledge of IEEE, IEC, and AU codes and standards.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
