Job Summary

Lead 3D/2D MEP CAD production for High Speed-2 and railway station projects across London Underground, Overground, and Network Rail. Use Bentley MicroStation and OpenBuildings to model MEP services and generate 2D sections from 3D designs for drawings. Coordinate clash-free designs with other disciplines using a Common Data Environment, support the engineering team review process, and mentor/upskill technical staff through feasibility to detailed design and handback.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce 3D and 2D MEP designs information for rail station projects, including modelling MEP services and generating 2D sections from 3D models.
•Carry out CAD modelling through all design stages (feasibility to detailed design and handback) to relevant industry standards.
•Coordinate with other design disciplines to deliver clash-free designs and ensure access/maintenance requirements are met.
•Support data exchange across multiple software platforms using a Common Data Environment (CDE).
•Support engineering teams with design data review and mentor/upskill technical staff as required.

Key Requirements

•Experience with multiple software platforms, including Bentley MicroStation, OpenBuildings, and ProjectWise.
•Strong understanding of BIM and working in a Common Data Environment (CDE), preferably Bentley ProjectWise.
•Knowledge of current and emerging software platforms and industry peer group operations.
•Strong Microsoft skills, including writing macros for complex/repetitive calculations; VBA experience is advantageous.
•Either an HNC/HND (minimum) in Civil Engineering or relevant rail and civil engineering design project experience across tender, concept, and detailed design stages.
