Job Summary

Provide technical leadership for the planning, design, and delivery of drainage and water management solutions for major highways and transport infrastructure projects across Western Australia and nationally. Lead drainage design and stormwater management, including flood modelling and hydraulic design from concept through detailed design. Partner with highways, civil, structures, and environmental teams, build client relationships, mentor engineers, and support business development through proposals and opportunity identification.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the drainage design for major highways and transport infrastructure projects across Western Australia and Australia.
•Deliver stormwater management, flood modelling, and hydraulic design solutions from concept through to detailed design.
•Act as technical lead for multidisciplinary project teams to ensure high-quality, efficient delivery.
•Build and maintain relationships with clients including Main Roads WA and other transport authorities.
•Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers and support business development through proposals and client engagement.

Key Requirements

•Around 8–15 years’ experience in drainage, stormwater, or water resources engineering within a consulting environment.
•Strong experience delivering drainage design for major highways, road, or transport infrastructure projects.
•Knowledge of Main Roads WA requirements and Austroads design standards.
•Experience with drainage and hydraulic modelling software such as DRAINS, 12d, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, or similar.
•A recognised Civil Engineering degree and eligibility for Chartered status with Engineers Australia.
