Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide electrical design and integration support for introduction of new systems and equipment across maritime platforms.
  • •Deliver installation design solutions including electrical/system drawings, cable routes, data sheets, and bills of materials.
  • •Liaise with MoD customers and industry partners to develop and agree equipment integration requirements throughout the design process.
  • •Undertake ship surveys to support design integration, material state reporting, configuration control, and power load charts.
  • •Configure and maintain ship databases for electrical power distribution and blown fibre networks, and support feasibility studies and detailed design activities.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 43,500

Key Requirements

  • •Knowledge of electrical systems theory and the interpretation/application of electrical design standards.
  • •Working knowledge of electrical installation practices and electrical distribution systems.
  • •Working knowledge/understanding of CAD and engineering drawing toolsets used for electrical design.
  • •ONC/HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Undertake ship surveys and support design integration activities such as material state reports, configuration control, and power load charts.
