Supervise rigging activities under Offshore Operations, demonstrating safe work methods and stepping in for critical tasks when crew skills are insufficient. Lead training and development of subordinates, monitor work progress to prevent waste of materials and man-hours, and oversee crew attendance. Ensure equipment is properly issued, used, and maintained, maintain site safety for all personnel access, and investigate crew grievances to address underlying causes.

Key Responsibilities

•Demonstrate work methods as needed and perform critical rigging tasks when subordinate craftsman/workers lack the required skill or experience; make sketches for instruction.
•Participate in training and development of subordinates.
•Supervise work progress, safeguard against waste of materials and man-hours, and monitor crew attendance and punctuality.
•Ensure subordinates are properly equipped and that equipment issued/allocated is correctly used and maintained safely and effectively.
•Maintain safety of the site for the crew and others accessing it; investigate and handle subordinates’ grievances to determine and address root causes.

Key Requirements

•Good standard of written and spoken English.
•All offshore safety training requirements.
•8-10 years experience in the field of rigging activities in the offshore oil industry.
•Ability to supervise work progress and monitor attendance and punctuality of a crew.
•Ability to ensure subordinates are properly equipped and that issued equipment is used and maintained safely and effectively.
