Job Summary

Create electrical building services designs for railway stations and related rail infrastructure, working independently or as part of a team. Prepare, coordinate, and monitor projects from concept to completion. Design low-voltage distribution and UPS sources, general and emergency lighting, and cable management systems, using tools like AMTECH/Electrical OM and Bentley Microstation/AECOsim. Supervise and mentor Assistant Engineers/Engineers and interpret client specifications in English.

Key Responsibilities

•Design low-voltage reticulation and distribution systems (230/400V) including UPS sources.
•Design general and emergency lighting systems and apply knowledge of lighting types and LED sources.
•Operate AMTECH / Electrical OM software to produce low-voltage designs, including cable type and protective device selection and result presentation.
•Design cable management systems (trunking, tray, conduits) and create schematic and 2D layout drawings.
•Use Bentley Microstation and AECOsim to model 3D MEP services, supervise/verify designers’ work, and guide Assistant Engineers/Engineers.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Electrical Engineering.
•Proven experience in electrical design for railway infrastructure projects in a similar role.
•Good working knowledge of general and emergency lighting systems, including LED sources.
•Experience operating AMTECH / Electrical OM software for low-voltage system design and analysis.
•Professional membership and professional qualification (CEng) from international professional institutions (desired).
