Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build data structures and pipelines powering rollup reporting for multi-location restaurant groups, owning work from schema design through beta delivery.
  • •Architect and lead early development on a permissions and authorization system, mapping a migration path from existing capabilities and sequencing the transition safely.
  • •Partner with product to sequence, estimate, and prioritize across two foundational workstreams, surfacing tradeoffs and risks early.
  • •Communicate architectural decisions and status clearly to the squad, data team, and leadership, including when plans need to change.
  • •Raise the technical bar through code reviews, design discussions, and hands-on guidance for teammates.

Key Requirements

  • •7–10 years of experience building production software, with data modeling and/or permissions/authorization central to system design.
  • •End-to-end ownership of technical design through delivery, support, and iteration, including making real decisions when systems break or change.
  • •Ability to turn ambiguous, complex problems into clear, maintainable solutions without needing everything fully defined upfront.
  • •Comfort working in large, evolving codebases—improving them incrementally while still shipping progress.
  • •Strong communication and collaboration across engineering, product, and data partners, including mentoring developers and leading technical discussions.
