Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Complete minor adjustments and repairs across electrical, brake, cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and complete pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document repairs and findings on Repair Orders (RO) by uploading photos and completing DOT forms using the company’s iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • •Supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Complete all required company training, including DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or provide qualifying DOT medical card).
  • •Must be at least 21 years or older and have a valid state-of-residence driver’s license with an ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
  • •REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS OR OBTAINED WITHIN 18 MONTHS: ASE T8 (PMI); preferred: ASE T4 (Brakes).
