Job Summary

Install and terminate low-voltage cabling and AV equipment on AVI-SPL contracted projects, including rack systems and basic metal fabrication. Read electronic schematics and architectural blueprints, use hand and power tools for soldering/crimping, and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment and systems. Coordinate with the Lead Technician to meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction requirements while working primarily on customer sites and performing occasional jobsite travel.

•Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
•Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors and support AV systems installation.
•Assist the Lead Technician with management and security of tools and equipment on the jobsite.
•Travel to various job sites as required and support additional tasks to meet project objectives.

•Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
•Good communication and interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues, and vendors, with a customer service orientation focused on client satisfaction.
•Basic understanding of audio-visual systems (projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, digital signage, control systems).
•Proficiency installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic) and experience with conduit runs and cable trays.
•Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving privileges standards.
