Key Responsibilities

  • •Own operational readiness of MMR and MDF spaces, including cleanliness, access control, labeling, and space utilization.
  • •Perform fiber operations: install, dress, test, and document fiber infrastructure; execute cross-connect installs/de-installs; maintain fiber maps and circuit records.
  • •Troubleshoot fiber using OTDR and optical power meters and coordinate with SSP/NOC and engineering to resolve production-impacting issues.
  • •Execute rack-and-stack activities and cable management, supporting physical layer standards and pathway utilization.
  • •Support power distribution and HVAC coordination, lead incident response/root-cause analysis for physical infrastructure events, and maintain rigorous change-management and documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of hands-on experience in data center, carrier, or mission-critical telecommunications environments supporting high-availability infrastructure.
  • •Strong Layer 1 networking and fiber optic experience, including OTDR and optical power meter testing.
  • •Proven rack-and-stack, hardware installation, and cable management skills.
  • •Experience with circuit turn-up, validation, preventive maintenance, and production incident response.
  • •Familiarity with change management, documentation, and SLA-driven operations; CFOT or equivalent strongly preferred.
